One day, Amitabh Bachchan suddenly got up on the sets of Piku and told Shoojit Sarcar (director): Look Mr Sircar, We will not call Deepika as Deepika from now."
Everyone looked at Big B quizzically, who did not hold the suspense for long.
He turned towards his co-star Deepika Padukone and said: "We shall call you Deepiku."
Deepika was overwhelmed with joy.
A source from the set says, "We didn't realise for the longest time that if we change only one alphabet in Deepika's name after shortening it, we would be left with only Piku. Kabhi kabhi jo cheez bilkul saamne hoti hai, woh dikhai nahin deti. This is exactly what happened in this case, If it hadn't been for Bachchan, we might not have realised it till the last day of the shoot." 
Piku, which explores the ups and downs in a father-daughter relationship, hits the screens on May 8.
